Terms & Conditions
Please read these terms carefully before using SessionMirror.
About SessionMirror
SessionMirror is an AI-powered session analysis tool designed to support the self-reflection and continuing professional development of CBT therapists and trainees. It is operated by Lisanne Davie, a BABCP-accredited CBT therapist and supervisor based in Auckland, New Zealand.
By accessing or using SessionMirror, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the tool.
02
No Clinical or Assessment Guarantee
SessionMirror is a self-reflection tool only. It does not predict, guarantee, or indicate whether a session will pass or fail any formal assessment.
The feedback generated by SessionMirror is intended to support professional self-reflection and identify areas for development in line with the Cognitive Therapy Scale — Revised (CTSR) framework. It is not a substitute for formal clinical supervision, peer review, or accredited assessment.
All decisions regarding readiness for formal CTSR submission or clinical competence remain the sole responsibility of a qualified, accredited human supervisor. SessionMirror feedback should never be used as the basis for such decisions.
Users are responsible for exercising their own professional judgement when interpreting and acting on any feedback provided by SessionMirror.
03
Limitation of Liability
SessionMirror is provided in good faith for professional development purposes. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Lisanne Davie accepts no liability for:
— Any reliance placed on AI-generated feedback for clinical, supervisory, or assessment decisions.
— Any direct, indirect, or consequential loss arising from the use of, or inability to use, SessionMirror.
— Any inaccuracies, errors, or omissions in the feedback generated by the tool.
— Any interruption, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.
SessionMirror is currently offered as a free beta product. The service may be modified, paused, or discontinued at any time without notice.
04
Data, Privacy & GDPR
SessionMirror uses the Anthropic API to process transcript content and generate feedback. This means text entered into the tool passes through Anthropic's servers. Anthropic does not use API data to train its models. You can review Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy.
SessionMirror does not itself store, retain, or log transcript content or feedback results. Once a session is closed, that data is no longer accessible.
Users are responsible for ensuring their use of SessionMirror is compliant with all applicable data protection legislation, including UK GDPR, EU GDPR, or equivalent local legislation. This includes obtaining appropriate client consent and ensuring all session material is fully anonymised before use.
05
User Responsibilities: Anonymisation
You must fully anonymise all session transcripts before entering them into SessionMirror. Do not upload any content that could identify a client.
Before using SessionMirror, users must remove all personally identifiable information from session transcripts, including but not limited to: client names, therapist names, locations, dates, occupations, or any other details that could directly or indirectly identify an individual.
Responsibility for anonymisation rests entirely with the user. Lisanne Davie accepts no liability for any breach of confidentiality arising from failure to adequately anonymise session content prior to use.
Use of SessionMirror with non-anonymised client material may constitute a breach of professional ethical codes and/or data protection legislation. Users are expected to act in accordance with their professional obligations at all times.
06
Acceptable Use
SessionMirror is intended for use by qualified CBT therapists, CBT trainees, and supervisors engaging in legitimate professional development activity.
You agree not to use SessionMirror:
— For any unlawful purpose or in a way that violates any applicable law or regulation.
— To upload content that has not been fully anonymised in accordance with your professional and legal obligations.
— To attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or reproduce the tool's underlying prompts, design, or functionality.
— In any way that could bring the tool, its operator, or the CBT profession into disrepute.
Access to SessionMirror during the beta phase is granted via a password provided by Lisanne Davie. This password is for your personal use only and must not be shared publicly.
07
Intellectual Property
SessionMirror, including its design, structure, underlying prompts, and all associated content, is the intellectual property of Lisanne Davie. All rights are reserved.
The feedback generated by SessionMirror during your session is provided for your personal professional development use. You may copy and retain your own results for CPD and supervision purposes.
You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit SessionMirror or any part of it without prior written permission from Lisanne Davie.
08
