Terms of service
Last updated: 24 September 2026
1. Who I am. Lisanne Davie, MBABCP (Accred), a BABCP Psychotherapist practising online from New Zealand. Contact: lisanne@lisannedavie.com.
2. The service. One-hour CBT sessions by secure video, at times we agree in advance. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I cannot guarantee particular results.
3. Who it suits. Adults aged 18 and over. I may recommend a local service if online CBT isn't the right fit, for example if you need medication, diagnosis or more intensive support.
4. Fees and payment.
Current fees are shown on my website and confirmed in writing before your first session. The introductory call is free.
Fees are paid in advance by card or Apple Pay through Stripe. I may review fees with 30 days' written notice; prepaid blocks keep their price.
5. Cancellations. Please give at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or move a session. Later cancellations and missed sessions are charged in full, or count as used in a block. If I cancel, you are not charged and we rebook.
6. Block sessions. Blocks are used within 3 months of the first session. Unused sessions are refunded if you end therapy early.
7. Technology. You need a private space, a stable internet connection and a device with a camera. If the connection fails, I will call or email you, and we continue or rebook without charge.
8. Confidentiality. What you share stays confidential. I will share information without your consent only if there is a serious risk to your life or someone else's, or if the law requires it. I discuss my work in clinical supervision without identifying you, as BABCP standards require.
9. Recording and sharing sessions. Sessions are private for both of us. Neither of us will record sessions (audio, video or screenshots) without the other's written agreement; this does not include the optional note-taking tool described in the privacy notice, which stores no audio. Please don't share or post session content, links or my materials publicly or on social media. Worksheets and resources I provide are for your personal use only. If a session is recorded without agreement, I may end the session and our work together.
10. Not an emergency service. I am not available between sessions for urgent support. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency services or crisis line. For example:
Singapore: SOS on 1767, or 995 for emergencies
Hong Kong: Samaritans on 2896 0000, or 999 for emergencies
At the start of therapy I will ask for your location, an emergency contact, and your GP's details.
11. Governing law. These terms are governed by New Zealand law. Nothing in them removes rights you have under the consumer law where you live.
12. Complaints. Please raise any concern with me first. You can also contact the BABCP.
